Dog Parks & Walks in Sirmione

A purpose-built fenced dog park on Via Coorti Romane in the Colombare area, set in a green strip between the Garda Village and Residence Holiday. It has separate enclosures for large and small dogs, so your pet can run off-leash safely away from traffic. It is the only dedicated off-leash space in Sirmione and a welcome break from the leash-only old town.

A pair of small landscaped parks in the heart of the old town, named in part for opera diva Maria Callas, who once lived in Sirmione. Leafy paths, benches and lake views make them a calm spot to pause on a leashed walk between the castle and the peninsula tip. They are compact rather than expansive, but perfectly placed for a shaded breather.

The shaded waterside paths that ring the peninsula, including the panoramic walk from the centre out toward Lido delle Bionde and the Grotte di Catullo, are the best everyday dog walk in Sirmione. They are flat, scenic and partly shaded by olive groves, with frequent lake-access points where a leashed dog can cool its paws. Early morning is coolest and quietest before the day-trippers arrive.
