Parks & Walks for Dogs in Olhão

Opened by the municipality in October 2023 inside the eastern waterfront park, this is Olhão's flagship dog park: over 4,000 m2 of fenced ground where dogs can run free in safety. It is fitted with agility equipment including a tunnel, jump ring, bridges and jump bars, and sits within the larger Parque do Levante for an on-leash warm-up loop.

A municipal sports and leisure park in a pine wood on the edge of town, home to Olhão's first fenced parque canino alongside running tracks and picnic areas. The pines give real shade, which makes it the better summer choice, and the wood itself is a pleasant leashed sniff-walk between sessions in the enclosure.

Olhão's main waterfront garden since 1984, spread along the Ria Formosa just west of the municipal markets, with mature trees, lawns and the town's favourite strolling promenade. With a leashed dog it links seamlessly to the Jardim Patrão Joaquim Lopes and the ferry pier, an easy flat loop with water views and morning shade.
