The top dog beach near Montpellier — Grand Travers at La Grande Motte officially allows dogs year-round at access points 58 to 60, even without a leash. This wide sandy beach at the western border of Carnon-Plage is the most reliable dog-beach option in the Hérault and is accessible by car in 30 minutes from Montpellier centre.
