Kolobrzeg changed its beach rules in March 2025: the city council removed the old blanket ban on dogs from the bathing-beach regulations after a ruling that a total ban was unlawful. Leashed dogs are now allowed on all of Kolobrzeg's beaches, and owners must clean up after them. Two long-standing designated dog sections, at the eastern and western ends of town, remain the most spacious, least crowded options for a proper run on the sand.
A long, quieter stretch running from the last public beach access at Podczele to the boundary with the neighbouring Ustronie Morskie municipality. Sand and dune grass, less crowded than the central beach.

The western dog section starts at the last beach access on ulica Plazowa in Radzikowo and runs to the boundary with Grzybowo, backed by pine woods that give shade off the sand.
