Keskuspuisto (Central Park)
Helsinki's Central Park is not a manicured city garden but a real forest, 10 kilometres of continuous birch, pine, and spruce running from Tรถรถlรถ Bay north to the city limits. Dogs can run off-leash in the forest areas away from the designated paths, making this one of the best urban dog-walking destinations in northern Europe. In winter the park becomes a cross-country skiing destination, but even then well-behaved dogs are welcome. The diversity of terrain, wetlands, rocky outcrops, open meadows, and deep forest, means every walk here is genuinely different.
๐ก Enter from the Tรถรถlรถnlahti (Tรถรถlรถ Bay) south end for the most scenic routes. The northern sections are wilder and emptier
