Keskuspuisto (Central Park)
Helsinki's Central Park is not a manicured city garden but a real forest โ 10 kilometres of continuous birch, pine, and spruce running from Tรถรถlรถ Bay north to the city limits. Dogs can run off-leash in the forest areas away from the designated paths, making this one of the best urban dog-walking destinations in northern Europe. In winter the park becomes a cross-country skiing destination, but even then well-behaved dogs are welcome. The diversity of terrain โ wetlands, rocky outcrops, open meadows, and deep forest โ means every walk here is genuinely different.
๐ก Enter from the Tรถรถlรถnlahti (Tรถรถlรถ Bay) south end for the most scenic routes. The northern sections are wilder and emptier
