Dog-Friendly Things to Do in Falmouth

Henry VIII's Tudor coastal fortress on the headland above Falmouth, guarding the harbour mouth with sweeping views over the bay and the Roseland. Unusually for a historic site, dogs on leads are welcome throughout, including inside the buildings and around the grounds.

The passenger ferry from Falmouth's Prince of Wales Pier across the Carrick Roads to the pretty village of St Mawes on the Roseland peninsula. Dogs are welcome and travel free, making a scenic dog-friendly day trip with a castle and coast walks at the other end.

Cornwall's flagship maritime museum on Discovery Quay, with boats, interactive galleries and a tower with underwater and rooftop views over the harbour. Assistance dogs only are allowed inside, but there is a sheltered dog bed, tie-up and water bowl by the entrance for other dogs.
