The whaleback hill rising straight above the town, crossed by grassy paths and topped by the remains of an Iron Age hillfort, with sweeping views over the estuary, the coast and Eryri. A recommended circuit of about 3.5 miles makes it the classic Conwy dog walk, open access and free.
Off-leash zone: Sheep and ponies graze the open hill, so keep your dog on a lead; the paths are grassy but exposed and can be windy.
๐ก Start from the western edge of town near Sychnant; carry water, as there is none on the hill, and watch for grazing livestock throughout.
