Conwy town
One of Europe's finest surviving medieval fortresses, built by Edward I in the 1280s and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with eight great towers above the estuary. Pet dogs are not admitted inside the castle, only assistance dogs, but it is magnificent from the quay, the estuary bank and the town below, all of which are dog-friendly.
๐ก For the best dog-friendly view, walk the estuary bank or across the historic Telford Suspension Bridge area; if you want to go inside, plan a sitter or take turns.
