The Grand Place is one of Europe's most stunning squares — a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by ornate guild houses and the Gothic city hall. Dogs are welcome in the square itself. The best time to visit with a dog is early morning (before 9am) when the square is almost empty. By mid-morning, tour groups fill it completely. The square is purely pedestrian and the cobblestones, while photogenic, can be slippery for dogs.
