Dog-Friendly Attractions in Brisbane

Seventeen hectares of riverfront parkland facing the city skyline, built on the old World Expo site and now the social heart of Brisbane. For a dog it means the Clem Jones Promenade along the water, the flowering Arbour walkway, the rainforest walk and wide lawns, all within a few minutes of the CBD ferry terminals.

One of the largest subtropical gardens in a city centre anywhere, laid out on 16 hectares of former railway land on the northern edge of the CBD, with lakes, lawns, a fern gully and dense planting that keeps it several degrees cooler than the street. The paths loop rather than run straight, which makes a good hour's walk out of a small park.

A strip of parkland at the foot and along the top of the volcanic cliffs that face the city across the river, cut by the Kangaroo Point Stairs and lit at night by the climbers' floodlights. The clifftop path gives the postcard view of the Brisbane skyline, and the lower path joins the riverside walk that runs under the Story Bridge.
