Pet-Friendly Attractions in Bratislava

The pedestrian heart of Bratislava: the cobbled Hlavné námestie with its Roland fountain and Old Town Hall, linked through Michael's Gate to the leafy Hviezdoslav Square. Dogs on leash are welcome throughout, with terraces and water bowls scattered along the loop. The famous Cumil (Man at Work) bronze statue is on Panská street between the two squares.

A 39-metre-tall Soviet war memorial on a hill above the Old Town, free to enter and one of the city's best panoramas. Dogs on leash are welcome on the surrounding lawns and the perimeter walk. The summit lawn is wide and quiet — a popular evening spot for locals walking dogs while watching sunset over the Castle.

The ruined Devín Castle perches on a 212-metre cliff where the Morava meets the Danube, one of Slovakia's most photographed sites. Dogs are not admitted to the castle ruins themselves, but the riverside path, the broad meadow at the base of the cliff, and the cycle track from Bratislava are all leash-friendly. A picnic by the water below the cliff is the classic dog-day outing.
