Pet-Friendly Pubs and Cafes in Bourton-on-the-Water

A characterful 19th-century inn just off the main street, and one of the most genuinely dog-friendly places in the village. It publishes its own dog-walking routes and pub-stop guides, and welcomes dogs throughout the bar. A relaxed, local feel away from the busiest riverside crowds, it is a good base for a walk and a pint with a dog at your feet.

Dogs are very welcome in the bar and restaurant, where there is a complimentary snack area and even a menu just for dogs, with treat pots, bowls and dog-friendly drinks. A convenient, central spot right by the low bridges over the Windrush.

Fresh bread, cakes and coffee make it an easy morning stop before a walk, and the terrace is one of the best spots in the village to sit with a dog and watch the Windrush drift past.
