Portico di San Luca

The world's longest portico — 666 arches covering 3.8km from the Arco del Meloncello city gate to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca on the Colli Bolognesi. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout. The walk gains about 200 metres in elevation — gentle enough for most dogs but a workout for older animals. At the top, panoramic views over Bologna and the Apennines reward the climb. UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021.
