Plateau des Poètes
Centre-ville · Allées Paul Riquet, 34500 Béziers
A 4.6-hectare English landscape garden designed by the Bühler brothers (same architects as Bois de Boulogne in Paris) at the southern end of the Allées Paul Riquet, with ponds, mature plane trees, a Titan fountain and busts of southern French poets. Leashed dogs are welcome on every path year-round, and the central pond loop is the local morning dog-walking circuit.
💡 Walk the Titan fountain loop at 08:00 when locals exercise their dogs around the central pond; the rising sun lights the bronze poet busts and the magnolias in spring.
