The Northern Ireland public-transport operator. On Metro and Ulsterbus services, small dogs in carriers and assistance dogs travel free; larger dogs are accepted at the driver's discretion (almost always 'yes' outside rush hour). On the Glider BRT (G1 east-west, G2 Titanic Quarter), the same rules apply but the modern articulated vehicles have more space. On Northern Ireland Railways, up to 2 dogs per passenger travel FREE on a lead, no booking, no muzzle, no carrier required.
💡 Avoid Metro buses in the 16:30–18:00 rush hour with a large dog, drivers are within their rights to refuse boarding if the bus is full, the Glider is more accommodating thanks to its larger floorspace.
