Dog-Friendly Attractions in Aarhus

Aarhus's open-air museum recreating Danish urban history through 75 historic buildings relocated from across Denmark. The streets, gardens and outdoor areas accept leashed dogs (paid entry). Dogs are not allowed inside the buildings, but most of the experience is outdoor.

The architectural-award-winning waterfront library and cultural centre, with a vast public plaza facing the harbour. Outdoor plaza is dog-friendly on leash, with views of the harbour and the new urban developments at Aarhus Ø.

The summer residence of the Danish royal family, with 13 hectares of public landscaped gardens. Dogs welcome on leash; the palace itself is only open during royal absence (announced annually). Changing-of-the-guard ceremony at noon when the royals are in residence.
