The Fleury-d'Aude commune (postal 11560) and its resort village Saint-Pierre-la-Mer offer a 4 km wide-open Mediterranean sand strip with translucent shallows and the smallest summer crowds of the Narbonne coast. The official municipal dog beach (plage canine) at the northern end towards Les Cabanes de Fleury welcomes off-leash dogs year-round, the rare French Mediterranean stretch that does so even in July-August.

Famous for its wooden stilt chalets featured in the 1986 film Betty Blue, Gruissan-Plage offers 4 km of wide sand backed by the Étang de Gruissan lagoon. The southern end towards Les Ayguades has a dedicated off-leash dog beach year-round; the central beach is leashed-only in summer, off-leash tolerated October-May.
