The city's only genuine year-round dog beach, on the north shore of the Outer Harbour. The off-leash section sits on the western boundary of the beach, fenced off from the public swimming beach on the land side but open to the water, so dogs can swim. Sheltered by the Leslie Street Spit, the water here is calm and a little warmer than the open lake.

The eastern half of Toronto's boardwalk beach, backed by the Kew Gardens lawns and a long stretch of soft sand facing Lake Ontario. In winter, when the boardwalk empties, the sand below the snow fence becomes one of the largest informal off-leash spaces in the city.

The widest beach in the city, a huge sweep of sand with volleyball courts, an Olympic pool and the start of the Martin Goodman Trail. Together with neighbouring Kew-Balmy it forms roughly fifteen hectares of shoreline that dog owners take over from November onwards.
