Dog-Friendly Attractions & Things to Do in Vancouver

The seawall wraps roughly 9 kilometres around Stanley Park with constant views of the water, the mountains and the downtown skyline, and leashed dogs are welcome the whole way. It is the single best dog walk in the city, passing beaches, totem poles and the Lions Gate Bridge.

This former industrial peninsula under the Granville Bridge is now a lively arts and food district, best reached with a dog on the leashed-dog-friendly Aquabus. Dogs cannot go inside the Public Market but are fine on the waterfront lanes and patios, and there is even a dedicated dog bakery.

One of the region's signature attractions, where a 140-metre suspension bridge sways high above the Capilano River canyon in the North Shore rainforest. Leashed dogs are allowed to cross the bridge and walk the grounds, though not into the Raptors Ridge birds-of-prey area or the gift shop.
