The oldest continuously operating farmers market in the country, spilling down a bluff above Elliott Bay since 1907, with flower stalls, fishmongers, buskers and a warren of lanes and staircases. The outside of it, the cobbled length of Pike Place itself and the terraces above the water, is the part a dog can share.
🐾 The Market's own rule is clear: dogs, cats and other pets are prohibited in Market buildings, including the Main Arcade, and only trained service animals may go inside. Pets are allowed on the Market's streets and sidewalks, so an outdoor circuit works, and individual shops set their own doorway policy.🎟️ Free
💡 Go before 9:00. By late morning the lanes are shoulder to shoulder and a dog at ankle height has a miserable time; early on you get the flower stalls, the fish counters and the view down to the bay with room to walk.
