Large reservoir 50 km south-east of Salamanca, fed by the Tormes. Pine-shaded coves, fresh water, no urban beach but several public access points. Popular with locals on summer weekends.

Almendra reservoir, north-west of Salamanca province
The second-largest reservoir in Spain, 70 km north-west of Salamanca. Rocky shores, granite outcrops, holm oak dehesa scenery. Genuinely remote — bring everything you need.
