The 8th runs from Concorde up the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe, with Parc Monceau as a major green anchor. Since December 2025 Parc Monceau finally opened to leashed dogs on specified alleys, a significant gain for the neighbourhood. The avenues are wide, the area is luxury-shopping and palace-hotel heavy, and most upscale cafes welcome small dogs in carriers.
Since December 2025, leashed dogs (max 1.5 m) are allowed only on Allée Ferdousi and Allée Comtesse de Ségur. Lawns, flower beds and water features remain banned. A 135 euro fine applies for breaches.
