The 14th, from Montparnasse to Porte d'Orléans, is a residential and quietly literary arrondissement (Hemingway's old cafes, Cite Universitaire down south). The Parc Montsouris is the green crown jewel: leashed dogs on alleys and a real walking loop around the lake. The wide Boulevard Montparnasse and Denfert-Rochereau plaza handle dogs well.
Leashed dogs welcome on the alleys around the lake; banned from the central lawn, flower beds and around the children's playground.
