The 12th is the most dog-friendly arrondissement in eastern Paris thanks to the Bois de Vincennes (open to leashed dogs with several off-leash zones) and the Coulée verte René-Dumont, a 4.5 km elevated and ground-level green walkway. Parc de Bercy joined the dog-friendly list in December 2025. The area mixes old wine warehouses, modern Bercy Village and quiet residential streets.
Leashed dogs allowed on all paths and lawns. Off-leash freedom zones (over 1 hectare) are signposted: the main one is near Lac Daumesnil. Dogs banned from the zoo, Parc Floral and Lac des Minimes swimming areas.
Leashed dogs welcome along the full 4.5 km elevated and ground-level path from Bastille to Bois de Vincennes.
Opened to dogs in December 2025. Leashed dogs (max 1.5 m) allowed on specified alleys only; lawns, gardens and water features banned.
