Dog-Friendly Walks and Fells around Keswick

Off-leash zone: Keep dogs on a lead here: the path is busy, runs beside the road and boat landings, and there are ducks and other waterfowl along the shore.

💡 Go early or late to beat the crowds; you can carry on along the shore to Calfclose Bay for a quieter spot where a dog can paddle.

Off-leash zone: Dogs can walk off-lead under close control on the ridge where no livestock is present, but the lower fields and open fell are grazed by sheep, so lead up whenever they are in sight.

💡 There are a couple of rocky steps near the top that a small or older dog may need help with; take the Keswick Launch to Hawes End for a memorable dog day out.
