Travelling with Pets in Gdynia

Gdynia is part of the Tricity (Trojmiasto) public transport network, with ZKM Gdynia operating buses and trolleybuses inside the city, and SKM rail running every 7 minutes to Sopot (8 min) and Gdansk (35 min). Polish national practice on Tricity public transport is generous to dogs: small dogs in carriers travel free, larger leashed dogs on a normal ticket (around 4 PLN, approximately 1 EUR) with a muzzle. SKM rail uses the same rule. Long-distance rail to Warsaw is operated by PKP Intercity, which requires a 'pet ticket' (50 percent of adult fare) for dogs of any size.
