Most outdoor sights in central Funchal are walkable with a leashed dog: the Zona Velha's painted-door streets, the Sé cathedral square, the cobbled Avenida Arriaga and the Forte de São Tiago overlook all accept dogs. The two big indoor museums (CR7, Madeira Story Centre) do not, but everything else worth seeing in the bay is reachable on foot from the marina with a pet.
