The official dog beach of the south Ría de Vigo coast, in the municipality of Nigrán. A sheltered 200-metre crescent of fine sand with shallow turquoise water, formally listed as a 'praia canina' and accessible year-round. Popular with Vigo dog owners on summer weekends; arrive before 11:00 for a parking spot.

Vigo's longest urban beach, 800 metres of fine sand on the inner ría with Blue Flag status. Dogs are permitted off-season (October 1 to May 31) without restrictions, but BANNED June 1 to September 30, 09:00-20:00. Out of season it is a popular dog-walking beach with calm shallow water ideal for first-time swimmers.

A wilder Atlantic-facing beach popular with surfers and bodyboarders, with grey-gold sand and rolling Atlantic swell. Dogs are permitted year-round outside the central lifeguard zone, making it a reliable alternative when the inner ría beaches are off-limits in summer. The wave action is too strong for most dog swimming; suit it for beach walks with sea spray.
