Esta é a regra mais importante para os donos de cães em Saint-Malo: todas as praias da cidade (Sillon, Bon-Secours, Rochebonne, Le Môle e outras) estão fechadas a cães 24 horas por dia de 1 de abril a 30 de setembro por edital municipal, com uma multa de 35 EUR por infração. De 1 de outubro a 31 de março, os cães são bem-vindos em todas as praias, com trela e apanhando os dejetos. A sheltered beach tucked under the ramparts, famous for its tidal seawater swimming pool and as the launch point to walk to the Grand Bé islet and Chateaubriand's tomb at low tide. Dogs follow the same seasonal ban (no dogs 1 April to 30 September) and are allowed on-leash in winter. Water quality can dip after heavy rain, so limit a dog's time in the water then.

A long, family beach in the Paramé district with the same dog rules as the rest of Saint-Malo. Dogs are banned 1 April to 30 September and welcome on-leash from October to March. It tends to be quieter than the Sillon for an off-season winter walk.
