Praias que aceitam cães perto de Quimper

Bénodet is the closest seaside resort to Quimper, at the mouth of the Odet. By municipal order dogs are banned from Bénodet beaches all year, but they are tolerated on the Plage du Coq and Plage de Saint-Gildas outside the summer season. Treat it as an off-season option only and always check the on-site signage.

On the open Bigouden coast near the famous La Torche surf spot, Pors Carn is a long sandy beach where, since 2025, dogs are allowed before 10:00 even in summer. Outside that morning window the standard Finistere summer ban applies, but it is one of the few places to give a dog a beach run in July or August. Watch the strong Atlantic currents and keep your dog close at the water's edge.

Clohars-Carnoët, near Le Pouldu, is the one spot in southern Finistere known for a dog beach open all year. Dogs are welcome provided they stay on a leash, making it the most reliable choice for a summer beach day from Quimper when everywhere closer is closed to dogs. It is a longer drive, but worth it in July and August.
