Playa del Perulejo. Mojácar Dog Beach (playa canina)
Mojácar's first official dog beach, opened in 2025, a roughly 118-metre stretch of coast in the Perulejo area beside the historic Macenas watchtower, within the protected Sierra de Cabrera-Bédar Natura 2000 zone. It is fitted with dog showers, bins with bag dispensers and shaded areas, and dogs can swim here at the owner's own responsibility, as it is excluded from the official bathing-waters list.
Rules: Dogs must be leashed on access, microchipped and vaccinated, owners must collect waste, and swimming is at your own risk. Off-leash swimming is at the owner's discretion within the designated zone.
