Praias pet-friendly na Ericeira, Onde e quando levar o cão

The cradle of the World Surfing Reserve and home of the WSL Championship Tour event each October. Long pebble-and-sand bay framed by terraced cliffs and the surf school cluster of the Mafra municipality. Mostly non-concessioned, fully dog-tolerant year-round on the dry sand outside the central lifeguard zone.

Small urban harbour beach directly below the old town clifftop, with the traditional fishermen`s boats still pulled up onto the sand each morning. Strict concession during summer, but the dry sand becomes openly dog-tolerant from October once the lifeguards leave and the bandeiras are removed.

Wider urban surf beach immediately south of Ericeira old town, with the most consistent beginner-friendly waves in the village and a row of dog-tolerant kiosks above the dune. Strict concession during summer, openly dog-friendly from October to May on the dry sand.

Cliff-framed right-hand reef break north of Ribeira d`Ilhas, one of the heaviest waves in continental Europe and a pure WSL Heritage Wave inside the World Surfing Reserve. Non-concessioned over its full length, fully dog-tolerant year-round on the rocky platform and dry sand, but the sea itself is dangerous in any swell.
