Cassis é uma vila balnear, mas as suas praias principais são rigorosas com os cães. A central Plage de la Grande Mer e a Plage du Bestouan proíbem cães na época balnear, como quase todas as praias urbanas francesas no verão. A única opção canina realista mesmo junto à aldeia é a pequena praia da calanque de Port-Miou, um porto de barcos mais do que uma baía de banho, por isso para um verdadeiro banho de cão vale a pena conduzir um pouco ao longo da costa.
A small cove beach inside the Port-Miou calanque, the one beach right by Cassis where dogs are tolerated. It functions mainly as a boat mooring rather than a swimming beach, so the water is calm but not the cleanest for a swim.
Rules: Dogs must be on leash. Port-Miou is a national-park periphery zone; respect the seasonal closure and keep dogs out of the core calanques beyond.
Cassis's main sand-and-shingle beach, right beside the port and overlooked by Cap Canaille. It is the heart of village beach life in summer but, like nearly all French town beaches, dogs are banned during the bathing season.

A pretty pebble cove fed by a freshwater spring, popular for its clear cool water just west of the port. Like the Grande Mer, it is a supervised town beach where dogs are not allowed during the summer bathing season.
