A long curve of fine sand at the eastern end of the Arrábida Natural Park, with calm Sado estuary water and sheltered shallows ideal for dogs that swim cautiously. The official bathing zone (June 15-September 15) restricts dogs near lifeguard flags; the eastern end of the beach welcomes leashed dogs year-round.

Two adjacent translucent-water coves at the heart of the Arrábida Natural Park, reached by a 700 m signposted path down from the N379 cliff road. Galapos has limited summer parking with shuttle bus in July-August; the western Galapinhos cove is unsupervised year-round and welcomes leashed dogs outside the summer bathing zones.

The Atlantic-facing side of the Tróia peninsula stretches 18 km south, with wide open sand, dunes and rolling Atlantic surf. Reached by the dog-friendly Atlantic Ferries crossing from Setúbal, the stretch south of the resort (from Comporta direction) admits leashed dogs year-round outside the small lifeguarded summer zones.
