The only off-leash area inside Seattle with water access, and by a wide margin the busiest: roughly eight and a half acres of grass, gravel path and shrub running down to a freshwater shoreline on Lake Washington, where dogs swim from a shallow shelving beach. A separate pen for small and shy dogs sits just south of the main entrance kiosk, reached from NE 74th Street.
📅 Open all year, every day from 4:00 to 23:30. Lake Washington is genuinely cold outside July to September, and the shoreline can be muddy after the winter rains.
Règles : Off-leash only inside the marked area; the leash goes back on for the rest of Magnuson Park. Bicycles and running are not allowed inside the off-leash area. Dogs remain barred from the park's other beaches and from the swimming area.
