Plages accueillant les chiens à Fuengirola

Fuengirola's official dog beach, open since 2014 and one of the first in Málaga province, is a fenced stretch of over 3,000 m² (about 83 m of coastline) beside the Sohail Castle where dogs can swim and run free year-round, summer included. It sits right by the riverside park, so a beach day and a park walk combine easily.

Fuengirola's long central beaches, backed by the Paseo Marítimo, are lively family sands with chiringuitos and sunbeds but no dogs during the bathing season. Out of season (roughly October to Easter) the town ordinance lets leashed dogs walk here, though the year-round swim option remains the Castillo Sohail dog beach.

The quieter eastern beaches around Carvajal and Torreblanca are pretty coves and open sand reached easily by the C-1 train, but they follow the same rule as the town's main beaches. Dogs are off-limits in the bathing season and allowed only off-season on a leash, so plan swims at the dog beach in summer.
