A Coruña's emblematic 600 m crescent of fine golden sand on the Atlantic side of the city, lined by the long Avenida Pedro Barrié de la Maza, the Riazor stadium and a dense rank of seafront cafés. Under the municipal animal ordinance, dogs are banned from 1 June to 30 September during bathing hours; outside the bathing season they are permitted on lead. October to May mornings on Riazor are one of the most beautiful dog beach experiences in northern Spain, with Atlantic surf and big skies.

The twin sister of Riazor, separated only by a small rocky outcrop, the Orzán is a wide Atlantic surf beach right under the Pescadería district. Surfers ride here all year, and the seafront promenade above is one of the busiest dog-walk axes in the city. Same seasonal ordinance applies: dogs on lead outside the bathing season (typically Oct–May), banned during summer bathing hours.

A wide Atlantic sand beach across the bay of A Coruña on the Oleiros coast, well known for surfing and family swimming with calmer waters than the city beaches.
