The Viehofener See is a 14-hectare former gravel-pit lake with a paid Strandbad on the south shore (no dogs) and a free reedy northern bank where leashed dogs can wade and swim. The Hundezone Viehofen sits 200 m back from the water.

A second gravel-pit lake popular with anglers and walkers. The south-eastern reedy banks have informal dog-friendly access points where leashed dogs swim; the central paid Strandbad excludes dogs.

Signed Hundestrand on the Danube at Tulln, with sandy entry into clear river water and a fenced dog-only swimming zone. The Wachau end of the Danube cycle path passes within 50 m.
