A striking beach near Naoussa famous for its sculpted granite rock formations and small turquoise coves, widely regarded as one of the most dog-welcoming spots on the island. The natural rock-divided pools give a calm dog a sheltered place to wade, away from the busier organised sections.

A long stretch of golden sand and clear shallow water on the island's north-east coast, with open unorganised sections where a dog can swim and dig away from the crowds. Its size means you can usually find a quiet end even in August.

A quieter cove beside the fishing village of Aliki in the south of the island, calmer and less developed than the northern beaches and a relaxed choice for a dog. The shallow sheltered water and nearby tavernas make it an easy half-day with a pet.
