Makarska's official dog beach, a pebble and shingle bay backed by pine forest where dogs can run and swim freely off-leash. Separated from the neighbouring beaches by rocks, it gives dogs their own space with natural pine shade right down to the water.

The rocky shoreline below Osejava forest park has quieter coves where dogs are more easily accommodated outside the busiest swimming spots. There is no formal dog zone here, so keep your dog leashed and away from packed bathing areas, but the pine shade and relative calm suit an early-morning dip.

Continuing south past Cvitačka, the coast toward Tučepi has more secluded shingle and rocky stretches where dog policies tend to be more relaxed outside peak hours. These spots have fewer facilities, so come prepared with water and shade, and always check local signs as rules vary beach to beach.
