Bled hat keinen eigenen Flughafen. Das nächste Tor zur Stadt ist Ljubljana Jože Pučnik (LJU), 35 Minuten mit dem Auto oder etwa 1 Stunde 15 Minuten mit dem Direktbus. Klagenfurt (KLA) auf österreichischer Seite ist etwa 1 Stunde mit dem Auto entfernt. Innerhalb Sloweniens hält die Regionallinie der Slowenischen Eisenbahnen (SŽ) von Ljubljana über Jesenice in Bled Jezero (direkt am See), und Arriva sowie Nomago betreiben häufige Direktbusse von Ljubljana nach Bled. Das Dorf selbst ist klein und mit Hund vollständig zu Fuß erkundbar. Rund um den See sind die einzigen motorisierten Optionen die handgefertigten Pletna-Boote zur Bleder Insel und saisonale Touristenbahnen. Slowenien ist EU-Mitglied, der EU-Heimtierausweis gilt.
